Update: 31st of March, 2025
Dear Witches and Wizards of Hogwarts is Here,
As you all know, we have lifted the library suspension on 24th of March, 2025. While we all waited excitedly for all your new submissions and edits, we realized that there were no changes in our approval queue until today. This means, we have to shortly bring back the temporary suspension to make sure no work is lost while we try and fix this issue for our library, starting 1st of April 2025 10 AM (CET).
We are thankful for your understanding and patience! Please check the newsroom for further updates concerning the library suspension so that you don´t miss any new information! Mischief...hopefully soon managed?
-Your Librarian,
Miss Cornelia Kensington
Dear Witches and Wizards of Hogwarts is Here,
As many of you already know, our beloved library has lately been under attack. Not by Cornish Pixies, but by a flood of spam books cluttering its shelves. To restore order and keep our library as magical as ever, we will be temporarily suspending the ability to publish and edit books while we work behind the scenes to clean those shelves up and improve our sorting system.
No need to worry! Our team is working tirelessly to sort through the mess, reinforce our magical defences, and ensure there are no poltergeists around, lurking in the shelves (looking at you Peeves!).
But what does this exactly mean? Well, here are some important facts to know about this transitioning period:
1. The temporary suspension on the library will take effect starting from the 9th of March, 2025 and will be in effect for 2 weeks, ending on the 24th of March, 2025.
2. During this two week period, permissions will be removed for the following actions:
- Submit new books
- Submit revised/changed old chapters
3. This cleaning up process includes ALL the books/chapters that have ever been uploaded into our library. Any book that violates our library policies will be returned for revision (no matter how old the book) or, depending on the severity of the violation, rejected. Is your favorite book not in our library yet? Do not worry! We are always working on improving our collection! Look forward to seeing it soon!
4. Revisions will have a two-week deadline, and if this deadline is not kept, the book will be rejected. If due to personal reasons more time is required, please contact me via owls. DO make sure to include your reason for this request in the owl to accelarate the process.
5. All authors will be notified via HiH notification if their book/chapter is accepted, needs revision or is rejected. The notification will include a link to the page where they can read the feedback.
6. Once the library suspension is implemented online, only the new library and the list of currently approved books will be accessible. Do not fret! The number of available books will continue to grow daily as they are sorted behind the scenes.
We, as HiH staff, appreciate your patience and understanding. As we transition into a new library system, we encourage you to explore the current collection of magical reads and familiarize yourselves with the updated library until all functions are made available.
Thank you for your attention! Mischief temporarily managed!
