Backstory

Upon first entering the Great Hall and sitting on the stool to be sorted into my house, I was full of trepidation. What house would I be sorted into? Would I get Gryffindor like both my parents? Or would I stray from the path and get a different house? Almost as soon as the Sorting Hat was placed on my head it shouted out GRYFFINDOR! The other students at the Gryffindor table erupted into applause as a giant grin spread across my face. I was sorted into this house because I exhibit all the characteristics of a Gryffindor. I rather enjoy all of my classes, except History of Magic. Though, if I had to choose, Defense Against the Dark Arts would be my favorite class. During my stay here at Hogwarts I have a Lilac Lynx Point Siamese cat named Artemis. She is a very adventurous and playful cat who is only one year old. I am a half-blood, my father was a muggleborn and my mother was a pureblood. My father was killed during the second Wizarding War due to his blood status. Growing up without a father was hard, but my mother did everything she could to make sure I had what I needed. My greatest strength is my courage, I’m not afraid to do most anything and this has helped me get through my life so far. My greatest weakness is my family. If I were to lose my family then ultimately I’d be losing myself as well. My family is everything to me. When I finish my schooling here at Hogwarts I wish to either become an Auror or a professor here. I believe the most fascinating thing about magic to be the wonder and amazement behind it. I will use my magic to help others when they need it. What I really want most is to become a witch who would make my father proud.
