Backstory

The day I received my Hogwarts letter, I had no idea what was going on. I showed the parchment to my parents, but to my disdain, my mother ripped it to shreds. Not much time passed when another owl showed up to my doorstep with another letter. One part of me couldn't believe what was happening. A magic school? Bogus! But another part of me knew it could be real. I've seen, and done, some pretty weird things. Like when I managed to repair a plate I shattered, or when my glasses came flying towards me when I couldn't find them. As an eleven year old, I was afraid and confused. I sat down and had a long conversation with my parents regarding the letter. It took a while, but my father finally admitted that they knew what was going on. Mom said something that really stung- "We just want you to be a normal girl." About a week later, I did something irrational and insane. I ran away. My parents were worried sick. To my luck, I ran into another magic family, and they agreed to purchase my supplies. When I was taken back home, my parents hugged me and finally agreed to let me go to Hogwarts! Now, I'm a proud second-year Ravenclaw!
