Lyn McLean

Backstory

I am descended from a long line of witches and wizards. My mother, Siusan (McLyn) McLean was born in Ireland and my father, Ross McLean was born in Scotland. They met while attending Hogwarts. Shortly after graduating in 1992, my parents went to work for the Ministry. My father worked in the Muggle Liaison Office of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and my mother worked in the Beast Division of the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Early 1994, my mother was presented with the opportunity to study magical creatures in America. My parents were married in April of 1994 and moved to the US. My mother continues her research and study of varies magical creatures in the US and my father continues to work in Muggle relations.
I am an only child, but I have many cousins that live in Europe. At least once a year we travel to Ireland and Scotland for family reunions/celebrations. Since almost all of my family has attended Hogwarts, when I came of age my family decided to have me attend Hogwarts instead of an American Wizarding School. Although it is often hard being so far away from my family and muggle friends, it is made easier by the fact that my paternal grandparents live in Scotland and that I have made many friends here at Hogwarts. I am very shy, so making friends came be a little hard for me. I brought my Barn Owl, Aeryn, with me, and my wand that used to be my grandfather’s.
