Getting to know Dane Lautner

Chapter 3

Today I had the great pleasure to interview one of our dear Headstudents, non other than Dane Lautner!

We chatted a bit and then as always I asked him: "What would you like to say to your readers?" 

and he replied: "I think that the greatest message I have for them is to not be scared to take risks. Try new things, allow yourself to make mistakes and sometimes even make a fool out of yourself. That's the only way that we can grow."

This phrase was of great inspiration for me and I hope it will be equally inspiring for all of you, my dear readers...

But now onto more funny business...

I asked him straight away "are you aware that many people find you intimidating on hih?" he didn't seem surprised by my question and told me that he was aware of it and preferred to think of himself as an approachable person even if competitive.

I reassured him by saying that the people who feared him could be intimidated by his knowledge and intelligence and instead he replied:

"I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm smarter? Definitely creative, though - I really believe in taking risks and going for what others fear to even think about, so that does help a lot most of the time. I often hear <<how did you think of that?>> and, well... the answer is that I just ignored the boundaries that we usually set for ourselves, even unconsciously."

I wanted to keep the tone chill and fun so I decided to tease him a bit by saying: "wow smart and modest, the ladies will chase after you once they're done reading my interview haha"

After a suspiscious long time that he took to reply xD, he clarified "I like the attention (of both boys and girls, although I try to not get too distracted in my studies)!" and added that he doesn't give special privileges to anyone so bad news for all of you guys... lmao

I moved further into the subject and asked "Is there anyone who caught your eye recently? both on an academical and personal level if I may ask?" he replied in a polite tone:"I must say that academically I'm very excited by Mario's work! He has done a great job in both the Transfiguration queues and in his own assignments. There hasn't been anyone that caught my eye recently on a personal level, though - maybe after I graduate?" 

See? he's still single so wait until his graduation and he'll be delighted to accept your owl, make sure not to include any amortentia flavoured chocolates though or you'll make a fool of yourself in front of a Potions pa and your crush (too bad xD). 

After some lighthearted chat, we reached the final question that I decided to ask him: "what's that special something that your wannabe future partner must have?" he replied quickly without any esitation: "I want someone who is ambitious and will not stop until they get to their goals. They have to be ethical too while doing that, but I want someone that's unstoppable."
