Lesson Two Study Guide
Chapter 3
There are twenty-four to twenty-five runes per set of the Elder Futhark, with the twenty fifth rune left blank. Runes should be stored in a cotton, silk, or hemp bag. In order to use your Inner Eye, you pull a rune one by one from the bag to do a reading. Use your magical energy in order to use you Inner Eye. Runes are a way to focus your magic onto a physical object, like a vessel. A high amount of concentration & willpower is needed to do this. Tarot cards are not used in conjunction with spells & enchantments, while runes can. Tarot cards are stored in a box, while runes are usually stored in a bag. This is because the box may suppress the magical connection since it can be quite thick. Tarot cards can become disloyal to you if used by another, while runes are more trusting & loyal.
Fun Facts
⊱ You can either draw runes from the bag or place them in various spreads.
⊱ Runes have less objects than the full set of tarot cards.
⊱ Wands are still the most loyal to a witch or wizard.
⊱ Spreads & questions are similar to using incantations when using a spell.
