A snail leaves cursive on the porch rail,
Robins gossip in the lilac hush.
The wind smells like rain and rosemary,
Soft mud squishes between bare toes,
New leaves unfurl like secret notes.
A squirrel steals a croissant crumb,
Petals stick to your sweater sleeve,
The world forgets to be cold.
