Recipe Of The Month
Chapter 4
Hey pooks! Since the person writing this can’t cook (yet), I’ll be providing you a simple recipe this month—something healthy…something that comes with a refreshing drink… FRUIT SALAD AND LEMONADE!
FRUIT SALAD
Ingredients:
Strawberries
Blueberries
Pineapple
Kiwi
Green or red grapes
Clementines or mandarin oranges
Zest and lime juice
Honey/maple syrup (Optional)
Don’t add a certain one of these ingredients if you’re allergic, or if you simply don’t desire it! However, in a mix, they taste amazing!
Now, there are simply TWO steps to make your sweet fruit salad and ONE to enjoy—
STEP 1: Toss all the cut-up fruits into a bowl—mix them up a bit!
STEP 2: Drizzle some lime juice over the top. Add honey or maple syrup only if you’re craving something sweet—the salad tastes fine without it.
STEP 3: Serve, dig in, and enjoy! This recipe is perfectly healthy!
NOTE: Try using a variety of fresh fruit (no banana!), not frozen. Make sure it’s all ripe!
LEMONADE
Ingredients:
Lemons—preferably 3 or 4 for one cup
Sugar
Water
Here are the steps!
STEP 1: Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar and cook them just over medium heat so that the sugar dissolves. Let this cool for 10 minutes.
STEP 2: In a pitcher, combine the substance above as well as some of your freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
STEP 3: Add some water, stir, plonk in ice and enjoy!
NOTE: You could make lemonade with honey as well as bottled lemon juice. There are many little things you can add to lemonade to satisfy your taste buds, such as lavender, rosemary, and fresh mint!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING! Please try the foods above—they are really good! GOODBYE!
