Lyric Writing Methods

Chapter 2

1. Write a rant of your feelings onto a page. Circle your favourite 'lyrics' and make rhyming couples.
2. Just try and write a whole song and don't edit anything afterwards. This sometimes makes your next song amazing!
3. If there is a word which says what you want to say, but doesn't rhyme or fit the song, use a thesaurus to find a good replacement for it!
4. Just start writing anything.
5. Keep a journal
6. Use a line from a book which inspires you.
7. Think of a bunch of  choruses or lines, and use them all to write a song.
8. Write the title of the song first and think of lyrics around that, sometimes helps to "filter" your thoughts.
9. Collab with someone and write a hit!
10. Think of common phrases and replace words. The same can work for other song lyrics and book quotes, just don't make it too obvious.
