As I look up to the night sky,
I count one star, two stars, three.
A firefly flies by,
All alone and free.
I start to count the stars again:
Four stars, five stars then six.
I have all the time in the world to spend,
Away from the problems I can't fix.
Seven, eight, and nine,
I remember the things that make me happy.
Now I'm starting to feel fine,
And a lot less unhappy.
Ten, eleven, twelve,
I remember the people I love,
Some of which are looking down
At me, from above.
Thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen,
I wish this peace would end, never
With all the stars to be counted and seen,
But we all know that not all good things last forever.
