My wizarding "beginnings" - February 2025
Chapter 1
For those who do not know me, my name is Mario B. Soriano, and I'm currently a Ravenclaw first-year student. I started my journey on HiH as a tween during COVID, in April 2020, and after a huge amount of socializing and cringe I was grounded and never checked HiH again. I only had 169 points.
I came back the following year under a different account, with a different name that none of you remember. I later changed the name of that account and had scattered activity during 2021, 2023 and 2024. I joined the House Points Competition three times, and I won one time, earned bronze in another and fifth place in the third one. I had 904 points by the time I went inactive. I had also finished HOM-101 and was in the process of doing extra credit for HOM-201.
In February 2025 (aka two weeks ago) I restarted my journey as a Hogwarts student. I entered the competition again, soon changed my name (aka transitioned ftm after going through some positive changes irl) and did a whopping 843 points from February 15th to 27th. I finished FLY-101, CHRM-101, PTNS-101, ASTR-101, COMC-201, CHRM-201, DIV-201, DADA-201 and TNFG-101 (this one with a 98%, 9 total EC points and all EC completed). All of this while juggling IRL globals and chaos. Well, yeah, I did fail two of my IRL subjects, but that's because I'd rather do HiH assignments all day than study.
This is everything I did, broken down into each day:
After February 14th and 15th, I completed FLY-101 and CHRM-101.
On February 16th, I did my ASTR-101 final and MUST-301 midterm and got to Lesson 8 of COMC-201.
On February 17th, I passed both my ASTR-101 final and my MUST-301 midterm. I also took and passed my CHRM-201 final and I took my TNFG-101 midterm.
On February 18th, I passed my TNFG-101 midterm. I did my ANST-401 midterm and my PTNS-101 and COMC-201 finals. I also submitted my CHRM-201 extra credit evaluation.
On February 19th, I completed PTNS-101 and was going to do so for COMC-201, then realized I still had my midterm left. I did CHRM-201 L3 mandatory essay, and I also did ASTR-201 L2, ANCR L4, DIV-201 Final and MUST-301 L8.
On February 20th, I did COMC-201 Midterm, earning 96% and therefore completing the course. I also started PTNS-101 and did TNFG-101 L7, DIV-201 evaluation and the first journal entry for COMC-301.
On February 21st, I passed my ANST-401 midterm, ARIT-601 L1, ANCR-201 L4 and TNFG-101 L7. I also did ASTR-201 L3.
On February 22nd, I did my MUST-301 final, my CHRM-201 L1 essay, my HERB-101 L6, my ANST-401 L6 and my DIV-201 mandatory essay. I passed ASTR-201 L3, HERB-101 L6 and was given two extra points in my DIV-201 essay, therefore moving on to DIV-301.
On February 23rd, I passed my MUST-301 final, my ARIT-601 L2 and got two extra points on my first COMC-301 essay. I did ARIT-601 L2 and TNFG-101 L8, Final, L4 EC, L5 EC, L6 EC, L8 EC, L9EC1. I also passed PTNS-201 L1 and ALCH-201 L3, and I passed CHRM-201 L1EC so I completed the course with 91% and moved onto CHRM-301.
On February 24th, I did TNFG-101 L9EC2 and EC3 and earned 3 extra house points in my EC TNFG midterm.
On February 25th, I passed HOM-301 L1 and one TNFG EC assignment.
On February 26th, I passed my DADA-201 L1 quiz.
On February 27th, I got 1 extra house point on my TNFG-101 L6 EC, and did my TNFG-101 L9 EC 4 and 5. I also did HERB-101 L7, L8 and the course evaluation. I aced TNFG-101 L8, earned an extra point in L8 EC and L9 EC1, and aced my final, L9 EC2, EC3 and EC4. I therefore marked the course as complete and started TNFG-201.
On February 28th, I passed HERB-101 L7, L8 and evaluation. I did my HERB-101 final and moved on to Year 2. I was able to do this without hearing back from the final, probably because, with the incorporation of FLY-101, you only need 7 Year 1 courses to move onto Year 2, so I didn’t need to complete Herbology. I also sent in my application to become a Professor’s Assistant for TNFG-101. I then did ANCR-201 L5, ASTR-201 L4 and DIV-301 L1. I also passed ANST-401 L6.
