The Library

Chapter 3

Hello, readers! Welcome back to another chapter of The Library! Today, I’m excited to share three amazing books from the Hogwarts Library that have captured my attention. These are must-reads that I'm pretty sure you’ll love as much as I do. Let’s begin!

First, I’ve chosen "Observations from: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone" by Anthea Hawthorne. This book is very well-written and full of insights! Anthea thoroughly annotates The Philosopher’s Stone, uncovering details and meanings I hadn’t ever noticed before. It’s perfect for anyone who loves exploring the layers of storytelling. If you’re a fan of thoughtful analysis, this is the book for you. Plus, Anthea has two other titles that are just as good. Make sure to check all her books out!

Next on the list is “All Spells” by Levy Crusapi. This hefty collection of charms and even jinxes is a hidden gem in the library! It contains a collection of every spell discussed in Charms and DADA, far from years 1-5. Each spell has detailed incantation, wand movement, and everything else necessary to cast it. I will be using this as a memory tool to prepare for our final exams, as it is a useful book indeed!

Finally, we have "The Wishing Tree" by an author you might be familiar with: Hazel Emory Antler! This story follows a robot that escapes the factory it was built in, embarking on a journey to find a place to “belong.” This book was so much fun to read, as it is a perfect blend of whimsy and magical. For fans of short stories and fantasies, this book is amazing! I guarantee that you will be hooked from the first chapter. (Proofreader's Note: I can confirm that this is true! You have to check it out guys!)

Well, that wraps up my recommendations for this month! Explore these authors and their incredible work—you won’t be disappointed. Our recipe for the month is coming up next, so keep on reading. Goodbye!
