Christmas

 

Once upon a cold December,

A king was born in our midst

It’s not about the food or lights, remember,

Or any number of gifts.

 

This king we talk of, was born in a stable

With cows and horses, to name them all, I’m unable.

You might think that he’s poor

All wrapped up in straw,

But a king he was born

And a king he’ll be called!

 

Jesus is his name,

“The Lord is Salvation” it means.

No-one, at any time, will be the same,

NEVER!

 

His holiness shines as the brightest beam,

In his presence we shall feel shame.

He is the king, he is supreme,

He is beyond our wildest dreams!

 

What do we call this wonderful event,

The day the best gift was given to us,

A present sent from the Heavens?

Christmas.
