Chapter 22

Welcome to this month's installment of Hogwarts Happenings. Here, I will talk about birthdays, deaths, and other significant occasions that nerds like me adore!

Birthdays:

Madam Chang — 7th September 
We don’t know much about this character, other than her plea that Cho would not take any action against Umbridge. We can’t completely despise her though, because she did give birth to one of Harry’s love interests!

Hermione Granger — 19th September 
ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE CHARACTERS! She is intelligent, gorgeous, bold, and kind. We love Hermione, and the Harry Potter world has benefited much from her contributions. She provided us with such iconic quotes, and even more iconic events. Let us all wish Hermione Granger, the smartest witch of her age, a very happy 45th birthday!

Garrick Ollivander — 25th September 
WOW! I apologise for interrupting the flow, but this also happens to be my birthday! Mr Ollivander is an incredibly wise soul, with unrivalled skill in crafting wands. Happy birthday to Mr Ollivander (And happy birthday to me too) !

Quirinus Quirrell — 26th September
Ah…Quirrell. The man whom Voldemort decided to possess and use to infiltrate Hogwarts. He thought his strategy could work, but he was proven wrong. Although Quirrell is no longer among us, we can still talk about him, his birthday, and the legacy he chose to leave behind.

Deaths:

Mykew Gregorovitch — 2nd September
On this date, the skilled wandmaker was killed by Voldemort. May he rest in peace.

Leta Lestrange—September
Whilst Leta passed away for a good cause, she will be forever missed. She perished after being incinerated by Grindelwald’s flames, after she defended Newt and Theseus Scamander.

Notable Events:

September 1st (annually) 
The students of Hogwarts return to school and are sorted into their houses, which are Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
