Chapter 5

We had one house left to find RC. I kicked down the door, "that was fast," RC said. "We were just in a house down the street," Letty said. "You have kids, this trip will get dangerous," he said smirking, "we may have kids, but we also found a truck, so we will be in georgia in 2 days," "food," he asked questionly. "We have food for 3 days now let's not waste any more time get in the truck," Letty said. "Im driving," I yelled as I raced letty to the seat, she got there first. "You can drive on the way back home when life will be normal," she said with a stitch of hope. We were 12 hours in and had no problems, gas was even easy to find. We reached a town, there was gun fire everywhere then the tire was popped, "Get out and run to the next city," they all jumped out and letty and I grabbed our guns to cover the others. When we were shooting I realized I can kill walkers, but real people that's a different story. Then it happened, a little girl maybe 13 pointed a gun at my kid. "Please don't make me do this put the gun down," I whispered when she didn't I had to shoot her. I almost ran then, but we weren't out of the city yet. When we were safely 4 hours away from that city I broke down. I fell to my knees and wanted to die, "I just killed 100s," I said softly. "You had no choice," Letty said, "but I shot her," they all looked confused. "Why didn't she put the fucking gun down, I mean god damn it she was so young," Letty looked startled, "you shot a little girl," I nodded slowly. "I had no choice she didn't put the fucking gun down," I screamed. I curled up into a ball and began to cry. "I just killed 100s god damn why," I whispered. It took almost an hour to calm me down, "Common we have to find a new truck," RC said. We began walking and when we reached the town a few miles away I froze, "I will not be shooting this time if we have to," I said, they nodded. We found a truck, gas tank full, almost right away. I hopped in the driver's seat and drove away. It was really silent, but then Nick grabbed my hand, "you had no choice," Nick said, "he is right re," Letty agread, "can we not talk about it please," I asked, I could tell letty wanted o say something, but she didn't.
