Now He Knows

Chapter 4

Jonathan wakes up and sees a note next to his bed. It reads Meet me at my office after dinner, Dumbledore. Jonathan groans and walks down the stairs and sees Draco sitting by the fire. Draco looks at him and sighs. "I cant help who I like, Draco." Jonathan says sitting on the opposite couch. "Thats not the point, Its a blood traitor." Draco says standing up and walking towards the door. "He isnt a blood traitor, and I know your better than your father makes you be." Jonathan yells. Draco continues walking and Jonathan walks out to the Great Hall and runs into Ron. Ron looks upset and then he see Harry behind him that looks upset too. "What wrong?" Jonathan asks. "Hermione, she was p-p-petrified." Ron says sobbing. Jonathan starts to feel sick and drops all his stuff as he runs all the way to the Hospital Wing. He passes The twins who follow him and he passes Draco. He gets to the hospital wing and runs into the room. He sees Hermione petrified on a bed and he sits next to her. "No, Hermione. Im so sorry I wasn't with you." Jonathan says grabbing her petrified fingers, there so cold. Jonathan jumps as Fred walks in and touches his shoulder. "Its okay, she didn't get hurt." Fred says sitting next to him. Jonathan sobs into his shoulder. Then he wipes his eyes with his sleeves. He stands up and goes to her other side, just as Harry walks in. Jonathan points to something in Hermiones hand and pulls it out. "Whats a Basilisk." Harry says. "Only the biggest snake in the world." Jonathan says. "It kills people if you look it in the eyes. But if you look into a mirror, or something shiny it only stuns you." There is a mirror next to Hermione. Jonathan says, "She looked into the mirror, she knew shed be next." 20 minutes later they all go to the Great Hall for dinner. Jonathan sits by himself and Fred sits by Gorge and Harry sits by Ron. Jonathan ignores the food and then Mcgonagall walks up to him. "Dumbledore would like you now, Lemon-drops." Mcgonagall says. Jonathan looks confused and starts heading up to Dumbledore office. Once he gets there he over hears Dumbledore talking to Snape. "Jonathan will be coming soon. We will tell him." Dumbledore says. "You cant tell him this." Snape says. "We have to tell him Voldemort is his father. The hat spoke to him, he is the closest human to him." Dumbledore says walking to the door. "Lemon-drops." He says. The door opens and Dumbledore sees him. He beckons him in and he sits down behind his desk. Jonathan sits in the other chair looking horrified. "I understand you heard everything." Dumbledore says. Jonathan nods and says, "I dont want him." "Im sorry, he is in your blood." Dumbledore says. Jonathan nods and Snape says, "What are we gonna do with him?" "Were gonna protect him." Dumbledore says. "You can leave Jonathan, tell who you trust. You dont have to keep it a secret. But that would be best." Jonathan nods and walks out straight to his common room, he enters and sees Draco sitting by the fire. He walks up the stairs and goes to his dorm. Then he goes straight to bed.
