Chapter 3

I was sitting on my purple striped bed waiting for an explanation. Mum ,Dad, and Ashlyn were sitting on my sofa looking uncomfortable. I guess I should call Mum and Dad Kary and Rick. ' Okay, Kary, Rick ,Ashlyn explain," I said tensly. " Just because we aren't your real parents doesn't mean you have the right to speak to us that way," Kary said tersly. " I have every right to! You have been lying to me for 11 years," I screamed,"Now explain!" " Okay, when Kary gave birth to a baby girl the doctors swapped the baby with another woman's baby. That baby was you. That woman just happened to be the minister. Now we have arranged a date where you can meet. The other girl, Penelope, is coming to live with us. You are going to live with your real mother and father," Rick said. " Okay, " I said as I tore off the necklace. The next day everything was packed. I took one look at the house I hated. I said my goodbyes and left Kary, Rick and Ashlyn. The house I came to was amazing. Apparently I had 2 siblings. I was sitting in my room when my real mom and dad came in. " Hi, um so you know how you came to get here, so let us tell you about that mark on you shoulder. Okay, so you were suddenly connected to Penelope when you were switched because she turned evil for one minute. She made sure you were switched so she could reek havoc on the country. She ended up killing a nurse with the killing curse. We don't know how. You got taken by the doctor and handed to the nearest family. That is how you ended up with the mark when she tried to kill you," My new mum said. " I want to be alone, please," I said. All I seemed to do now was cry. When I finally came down to dinner one night my mum and dad were sitting at the table. When they saw me they smiled . For dinner was steak and kidney pudding. All I did was play with my food. " Please dear aren't you going to eat," Mum said. " No," I replied and ran up stairs, tears welling in my eyes. I laid down on my bed and fell into a restless sleep.
