Chapter 1

I felt my consciousness returning as my eyes slowly blinked open. Immediately, I felt the throbbing in my left shoulder and jaw. I rolled my head back, the pain was unbearable. I tried to move my hands from the back of the chair I was sitting in, but they wouldn't move. "What the?" I struggled with the rope tied around my hands. That clearly wasn't helping. "Struggling won't help my dear" A man's voice rang through the room. I looked up in surprise and saw a figure in front of me. "You know there are easier ways of getting people to listen to you." I snapped as the man stepped forward. "I thought you be a little kinder to your dear, old grandfather." My grandfather smiled. "As if" I glared. "So I'm assuming none of it was real? James never said anything?" He shook his head, smirking. "What do you want, I'm getting bored" Just then, the pain seared through my whole body and I nearly passed out. "Gah!" I cried, not willing to look at my shoulder. "ooohhhh, I'm sorry, does that hurt?" He asked in a mocking tone. "Get to the point!!" I screamed, feeling light-headed. I had to get help soon. But I left around 11. How long had I'd been passed out? Arin and Lucy would surely know I was missing when they woke up... but I don't know what time it is. The room was dark and window-less, so that wasn't going to work. 'THINK THINK' I yelled at myself. "Well my dear, I want you to become the child I never had." He said not showing any real emotion. "Was my father not good enough or something!" "No, he was just... weak. You on the other hand are strong. Don't think I haven't heard about your fight..." He told me. I looked him dead in the eye, the tension building. "No" I growled Then I screamed. It was an ear-piercing scream, filled with all my hope to get out and throbbing pain. Grandfather fell backwards, covering his ears. I don't know how much longer I can stay awake... let's just hope someone, anyone heard my scream.
