What Is Editing? What Does It Do?

When you edit a piece of writing, you are enhancing your piece to make it more polished & presentable. Each time you edit, it tells the software coding behind the scenes what you wish it to do. It can be as simple as bolding words or as complicated as showing an image & creating good looking dividers. With editing, there is room for using cool stuff such as embedding glittering text images, dividers, gifs & other various tools that you can use to spice up your creation. Most things are possible with editing!

To start editing, go to your character information backstory or a chapter of a book that you are writing. There are many ways that you can design & create with the editor; by using italic words, images, dividers, colors...there's too much to list! Mix & match these tools & see what you can come up with! Chances are, you'll be styling & profiling your way to fancy designs!
