Laila shook herself awake, shocked and terrified. What was happening to her? She looked up, finding herself staring into the green eyes of a certain boy. "A-austen-hey." She said, cursing her stutter mentally. "Hey." He replied, continuing to stare at her. She just raised her eyebrows and walked off to talk to her friend Dorothea- if anyone could figure out what the bizarre visions are about, it would be her. ***** Dorothea claimed to be able to see the future, which Laila questioned daily, as well as her sanity, but she figured it was about time that she investigate a little more- both the visions, and Dorothea's dubious claims. Sh strolled down the winding corridor of St. Antony's Boarding School, feeling both tired and invigorated. She was going to find out what was happening! It was all going to be fixed! She walked down the hallway, suddenly shocked by the sight of Rhys, Marisa, Mor, Jace, Isabelle, Austen and Leana running towards her. "GO!" Isabelle yelled, making pushing movements with her arms as she tapped the red gem on her necklace, turning it into a glowing silver whip, and lashing out at... something. Laila didn't know what it was, but Isabelle apparently did, as she yelled to Jace and Marisa "It's just a Shax, I can handle it!" But all the same, everyone pulled out their weapons- the same ones that she had seen in her vision. She furrowed her eyebrows, and lifted up her hand, now encased in a ball of golden light- and then she remembered. She looked up just in time to see Austen run towards the 'Shax' and to yell "No!" before Austen was hurled back at them, a black spike embedded in his chest.
