Chapter 3

My owner left me alone in the room with big windows and bookshelves. No one else was around, except for someone rushing toward the door outside. Quietly, I followed, and when I was through the doorway, I was in this big, stone hallway. Curious, I started to explore. When I was turning a corner, I ran into a dust-colored cat with lamplike yellow eyes. She said "What are you doing here? Pets aren't supposed to be in the corridors." She said her name was Mrs. Norris, and then took me back to the blue room. When she was gone, I set off and explored again. I soon came upon a picture of a lady in a pink dress. When some students came, they opened the picture, and I slipped through. I was now in a red room, with lots of chairs. There was a nice rug by the fire. I took a nap..............
