Chapter 5

Part 2: Penelope’s Story. Passengers on the RMS Julian absolutely loved it’s luxury. It was after all, the most luxorious ship of its era. Survivor Penelope Von Kyles sailed first class on the ship with her mother, father, and brother. The 16-year-old girl was off for a new life, her father had received a new job and they had to travel immediately. Penelope said that she remembered that the food on the ship was always fresh. She remembered the night the RMS Julian hit that iceberg. Penelope was at the dining hall, however, after she left to the deck, she was escorted to lifeboat 5.
