The Storm

Chapter 1

THUMP! Buckbeak and his younger sister Stormswift were jumping and trotting around in the mud. They had always thought playing around in the mud was fun. Until one night a terrible thing happened, a storm headed towards them! Buckbeak woke up from his peaceful sleep to the sound of grumbling and thunder. All of a sudden Buckbeak could hear a big banging noise, “Bam, Boom! Bam, boom!” He rushed out of the stable and felt raindrops pounding on top of his back. “Mom! Dad! Stormswift!” he yelled, but there wasn’t a voice... he couldn't hear anything but the grumbling of the thunder and lightning. The storm was silent but dark, which made Buckbeak fall asleep as the wind howled around him.
