Being Lost Doesn’t Mean You’re Alone

Chapter 1

Chapter one Darkness. There was only darkness. Then there were voices, hushed and quick. “Hello?” No answer “hello!?” Still no answer. The darkness churned and squeezed almost as if it did not want light to seep through. But then a soft melody wafted through creating pure white light. “Follow my child” it said “follow the light” it felt as if millions of jagged pieces of ice were falling into the black oblivion. “Don’t give up!” The voice came back, this time much more urgent. Right now, that task seemed impossible. Just keep fighting the darkness and keep trying to win. “Please!” The voice shouted. It was not male nor female, it was peace. The ice stopped and a blast of warmth pushes the darkness away. Then there was only white “hello?” “Hello” said a voice “do not be afraid my child for you are home” the voice said “but where am I?” The voice did not answer but an unseen force pushed the white back and once again the darkness came. “Balance is needed” the voice said “let it take you.” Struggling. “Let me out” and the voice did not say anything, it did not come back. “Voice?” And the darkness attacked, piercing the chest, arms, legs, and stomach. The light pierced through the head. “Let it take you” the voice rang out “do not be afraid” then there was pain. Like nothing anyone had ever experienced. Pain. Nothing could stop it so the darkness and light consumed everything. Then nothingness. No color or sound. The bleak world felt right. The pain was dying away and the only thing that was felt was peace. “You are home my child” the voice called one last time. A sudden jolt. Then she was awake.
