While in Europe Quidditch is all the rave but in America, it really isn't. But as time moved on Quidditch became popular. When it was first introduced in the 1700's people wouldn't want to play it because of the anti-wizarding no-maj (muggle) communities. Instead, Quodpot was a popular sport in America.
