First Year At Hogwarts School

Chapter 3
It had been three years now and I am now 17 years old. My first year going to Hogwarts starts in a few hours, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. The promise I made to myself when I was 13 that I wasn't going to be a Slytherin still stands. But once again it's not my choice to make. It's all up to the sorting hat. Blair and I have hung out everyday after the day my dad threw her out of the house. She talked to me a lot about Draco so it was kin of obvious that she liked him but she denied it anyways. I discovered what m favorite drink was while hanging out with her, it's obviously butterbeer like who wouldn't like that. We made it official after three months of hanging out together that we would forever be bestfriends, no matter what house I get into. And well, I'm about to find out what house that is. As I entered Hogwarts through a boat ride, I followed the other first years to the grand hall. A lot of them talked about me and stared at me. I had barely been there for a day and the rumors about me were already starting. And not gonna lie after the train ride I was kind of over it. When we walked up the stairs there was a professor standing at the top waiting for us. I was scared and my breathing became uneven. Which isn't abnormal for me. The Professor explained everything that would happen momentarily and then left to see if everything was set up. And not going to lie with everyone staring at me, it was a bit unsettling and scary. But then after a while of uncomfortable and awkward standing, we had entered the main gathering room. And I could hear my brother over all the people n the room say "See that on girl right there, ya she's the mistake of family, just watch I bet she won't even get Slytherin like me." And I hope he's right, I don't want to get Slytherin. If I did I would be getting bullied and tormented at school and at home. My name was the third name to be called and as I walked up and sat on the stool, I could tell Draco was thinking of so many different ways to bully the crap out of me. But in the corner of my eye I saw Blair nodding her head telling me that everything was going to be okay. So I let out a breath as the house was placed on my head. “Hmmm. Very strange, strange indeed. You seems familiar in a sense. Are you... no that’s not right, unless.... You’re a Malfoy aren’t you.” The hat started saying. I was worried. Even though I knew my place was in Slytherin. And I wasn’t okay with that at all. “No answer okay. But your mind gave me an answer. You’ll be. GRYFFINDOR!!!!” Everyone gasped. Confused and questioning how on earth was it possible for a Malfoy to be put into a house they don’t belong in. I already knew it was a mistake. My parents were going to throw me under the floor again. I was scared, no I was terrified. Draco looked like he was about to lose his head. I looked over at Blair she was clapping and she was smiling. I knew she was proud of me. And happy for me. Because she knows I would do anything to get away from my family. But only I know what will truly happen when I go back home in 9weeks.
