Chapter 7

I was really happy the first task was over. It meant one-third of the trouble was over. Mr.Fudge had said the clue to the second task was inside the egg. So at night in my dorm, I slowly opened the egg. And then I got such a surprise. The whole room was filled with a piercing shrill scream. Everyone woke up and shouted over the screaming for me to close the egg. This is so stupid, I thought. Are we supposed to stand still in a room with a screaming lady? Then it was all so crazy.
