The next morning Firenze came out of his den of leaves and twigs. He looked dreadful - he hadn’t slept all night and his hair was bedraggled and wild. Bane, who had been waiting two hours outside Firenze’s den, immediately pounced on the worried centaur and began blabbering silly nonsense. This was not the time that Firenze wanted to speak to Bane - he longed to be alone to think. “Just tell him to go!” Firenze thought crossly, but he could not find it in his heart to tell his eager companion this.
