THE NEWS SPREADS

Chapter 1

I was strolling in the grounds under the warm sunshine with my friends when Tessa, a Ravenclaw, came running towards us. "It's you right? Mia Grazer? I heard you were kidnapped, what had happened? Can you tell me please?" she panted as she took out her notebook and quill. I laughed. It had been a week since I had arrived at Hogwarts and the news of my kidnapping and miraculous escape had spread rapidly. There was to be a special announcement later today too, regarding my kidnapping and the attack on Hogwarts. If you don't know about that massive problem we are facing, let me brief you up real quick. When I was kidnapped by the two death eaters in the middle of the night, I found out that they were planning an attack on Hogwarts. I had escaped soon after, and had provided McGonagall with all the information. So, today McGonagall will be telling the students about this planned attack and discuss how to prepare to combat it. She will also choose ten students to lead the school during the attack. I was really excited for the meeting and I couldn't wait to hear who were to be the leaders of the attack! I was immersed in these thrilling thoughts when Marley (my friend) tapped me on my shoulder and jerked her head towards Tessa. I came back to my senses and smiled at her, "You will get to know everything at the meeting, Tessa. And if you don't, I promise to tell you everything later. Have patience." and with that, Tessa's downcast face lit up and she skipped cheerfully to her friends."You are becoming quite popular, aren't you Mia?" Eddie joked, "Well, so are we, since we are your friends." We laughed at this and I replied playfully, "Not a chance, Eddie." and I flipped my hair behind my back. We laughed and chattered till the bell rang and then, we headed towards the Great Hall for lunch.
