Chapter 2

I hoped I wouldn't meet anyone on my way, but unfortunately, I met the Gryffindor ghost. What was his name? Ah, yes, Nearly- Headless- Nick. He looked spooky in the moonlight and his eyes were glassy. I tried to go by, unnoticed, but Nick spotted me. He came over at once, "Who's there?" he said in a deep voice. I darted behind a statue and waited until the ghost had left. Later, when I heard no sound, I bent forward cautiously and saw that Nick had gone. I breathed a sigh of relief and opened the back door which led me to the boundary of Hogwarts. I went outside and took a deep breath. I smiled happily, enjoying my walk. The wind was cool and the silver moonlight lit my path. I spotted the massive quidditch stadium and the greenhouses glinting in the moonlight. The Forbidden forest looked creepy as it was surrounded by mist and towering green trees. I walked on until I reached the main gates. There, I thought I heard voices. It wasn't Hagrid or Filch. Who was it? I waited for a few more minutes but the voices could no longer be heard. I shrugged and continued to enjoy my walk. But, as soon as I had taken a few steps, a hand closed over my mouth and I shrieked loudly! I tried to yank the hand off my face but succeeded in ending up on the ground. I tried to kick the kidnapper but he caught my legs and started dragging me towards the gate. I tried to take out my wand but couldn't find it. I screamed again but no sound came out of my mouth. I looked here and there, desperately trying to find someone to save me. But I was all alone. I kicked harder and the man let go of me. I scrambled up to my feet quickly, pointed my wand up to him but he didn't make any movement. He just smiled smugly. I ignored this and began, "Stupefy!" but no sound was heard. I was under the silence curse. I tried to do the spells in my mind but that didn't work. I tried to run towards the castle but immediately the man cried, "Petrificus Totalus!" and I fell on my face as the full body-bind curse paralyzed my body. The man stood over me and laughed. I realized that after a long, a very long time in my life, I felt scared. I felt lonely and terrified. Not to mention that I was angry that I hadn't been taught how to do magic without saying the spells out loud and I was completely helpless. The man dragged me out of Hogwarts and I could do nothing. He dragged me to Hogsmeade and then into a cave which I had never seen before. He propped me up against the hard wall and created a door which was an illusion. The man said strange spell and the the dark and gloomy cave turned into a messy cabin with a bunk bed, a stove, a small cupboard and a mahogany tea table with two chairs. The walls were done in black and grey and one wall had the green dark mark glistening on it. I shuddered with fright as I realized that this was a Death Eater's lair. The Kidnapper who had been setting protective spells around the lair, turned to me and smiled cruelly, "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" those were last words I heard until I fainted and fell on the cold stone floor.
