The Magical History

Chapter 1

This story is set 100 years ago when people believed that Witches actually existed. King James the 1st of England and the 6th of Scotland had strong opinions about this subject, so on quite a large number of occasions, innocent people were killed because they were thought to be Witches. Back then, everyone were afraid towards these 'Witches' because they were scared that they might be cursed. Your parents might tell you that fantastical things like that can only be found in story books. For instance, if you were frightened of the flesh-eating Giants in the BFG, by Roald Dahl, your parents might tell you that they are not real, therefore, you should not be afraid. On this occasion, they are partly correct and partly incorrect. This is because they used to roam around the world but then became extinct, thanks to the Wizards! Clever Roald Dahl must have known how horrible those Giants really were! It happened because the Giants and Wizards had a ghastly, hideous battle over who owned their land. Both magical creatures unfortunately became extinct, so now, the Witches rule over all of the magical animals that are left! But this is not what the story is about! Oh, no! This is just the magical history! The story is about ... Well! You'll just have to read on!
