Dear Diary #3: Potions

Chapter 3

Dear Diary, As it turns out, I'm no good at this whole magic thing, maybe it's because of my age, and this all seems slightly strange still. I don't know. All I do know, is that Headmistress Oshiro was not pleased when I accidentally blew up the cure for boils I was attempting to make. All I know is that it is about 10x as embarrassing to blow something up in a room full of eleven year olds. They never let you forget it. I still haven't made any friends, but there is this guy who keeps watching me. I don't know who he is, but he hangs out with the other 7th years, so I can only assume he is one of them. He is also in Slytherin, and tends to hang out in the common room alone, late at night. Which I have to admit, is slightly unnerving. Apparently Hogwarts is also going to be training a couple teachers for Illvermorny this year, so that could be fun. Wow, my life is boring! I've often been sneaking into Hogsmead, especially since I found out that the Three Broomsticks actually has wifi. It's usually used for the staff and the muggle parents of Witches, but one of the servers there, a super sweet guy named Oliver gave me the password. I've been catching up on the YouTube videos that I've been missing due to school. At first it was hard to wrap my head around the fact that Hogwarts didn't have wifi, but it's really quite relaxing. And I've been downloading Nexflix shows and movies to watch when I can't get to Hogsmead. Oh, back to potions, Headmistress Oshiro has been working with me to understand it better, which is great, her and I have been going for coffee to study and such, but every time I step into class, all I hear is a titter of young children making jokes. It doesn't bother me much, it's just become an annoyance at this point. Anyway, it's almost time for breakfast, so I better run! Until Next Time, -T
