Home Sweet Home
Chapter 1

It was a hot summer day and Savannah was outside enjoying the fresh air. Her long brown hair was put into two braids and her blue eyes were shining as the sun was gleaming. Savannah was a 12 year old girl who lived in New York City. She had lived there since she was born and never wanted to leave. She lived with her mom and dad. She didn't have any siblings and was thankfully relieved. Her friends had told her that siblings were a pain to deal with and that she was lucky to not have one. Savannah was happy to not have a sibling to deal with, but was also sad that she always alone and had no one to talk to or play with. The doorbell rang and Savannah ran inside. She took off her shoes and went to the front door. She opened up the door to see who it was.
"Hello!" a girl the same age said happily. As soon as Savannah saw the girl, she knew exactly who it was.
"Why are you here, Amber?" Savannah asked. Amber held up a letter that she was holding tightly in her hand.
"You can read this," she said. Savannah took the letter out of Amber's hand and opened it up.
Dear Savannah Miller,
You are invited to Amber Collin's half birthday party. We would loved if you joined us on this fun night!
When: Saturday, July 27th.
Where: Amber's house: 30 Greengrass Lane.
RSVP: Just come! No contacting required!
Sincerely, Amber.
Savannah sealed the letter closed and put it on the kitchen counter. "You're inviting me to your half birthday party? I didn't even know that was a thing!"
"I'm inviting everyone at our school."
"Everyone?!" Savannah said surprised.
"Yep! My house is big enough to fit almost 1,000 people," Amber bragged. Savannah rolled her eyes.
"Well thank you for the invitation. I'll think about going." Savannah closed the door on Amber's face.
"I'm definitely not going!" Savannah said to herself.
MORE OF THIS WILL COME SOON...
