Chapter 3

As the door to number 12 Grimmauld Place swung open, Ella, Rhianna and Jocelyn ran to greet their friends. During the past hour, the three friends left behind had been growing sick with worry. Ella's lip was bleeding from her chewing on it so much, Rhianna's hand was an irritated red from her scratching at it for too long and Jocelyn had managed to break several pencils in the last half hour. "How did it go?" Rhianna asked nervously, unsure whether she really wanted to know. The five friends who had attended the Death Eater meeting exchanged dark glances. Unexpectedly, Evan let out a sob. Ella's eyes flew open in concern, when Evan broke, that's when you knew something was up. "They- uh-" Eloise started to say, standing by Ella's side. Ella held onto her arm in a comforting manner. "Well, Lebron now has a dark mark. The rest of us weren't quite trusted enough for that, thank goodness," she said grimly. "And then- well- and then the meeting properly started, once we'd established trust and loyalty and all that jazz, he brought in this woman. A muggle. She- she-" And that was when Eloise broke down into tears as well.
