Chapter Four - Flashback, Day 1 in Paris

Alice couldn't remember the flight too well, this was caused by the factor of she was asleep for most of it. Every time she woke up, Reece was there, holding her hand. The hotel was unforgettable. It was stunning. The view made both Alice and Reece lost for words. They stood staring out at it for at least 10 minutes. Reese's arms was snaked around her waist before they moved to see the rest of the room. Butterflies from having Reece close to her. This wasn't unusual even though he was promoted from friend, to Boy friend. Boy friend to fiance and now fiance to Alice's amazing husband. The gradient in the sky, from black. The same colour, as she later learns, as her soul. To a vibrant blood thirsty red, one she learns the colour of really well over the next year, she just doesn't know it yet. The trees creating shadows down below, shrouding everything in blackness. People are little flecks on the ground, playing the game that is life. Ups and Downs. Everyone loosing in the end. The sun was setting, the moon glistening hope for a brighter tomorrow. Alice smiles up at Reece, a genuine smile. "I love you" she whispered, "I love you too baby" Alice turned around a kissed him, then unpacking and going out to a local restaurant. Neither could pronounce the name of the restaurant. It was a very luxurious restaurant, she knew that, he knew that. Vases filled with a single rose, all wooden varnished tables, seats with red velvet cushions. Very aromatic. The smell of the food filled the air, each breath you could smell a new meal. Steak, Pizza, Pasta. They got seated and picked out a meal. The price was brilliant, from a luxurious restaurant like this. They ordered, steak and fries with a side of salad for Alice, a double burger and fries for Reece. Along with desserts and two drinks each. That was an ice cream sundae with two spoons, another glass of white wine, and a beer. If Alice remembered correctly, the total was £27.78. But a £30 was paid, the tip included. After this they took a scenic walk along a lit pathway, holding hands on the way back. When they got in, they both realised things they didn't in the time they were there earlier. The bed was a king size, with a black leather frame, feather pillows, a fluffy plump, stylish quilt and a blanket folded by the footing of the bed. At the opposite end of the room there was a dressing table, with a bottle of champagne and ice, with two glasses and rose petals scattered around. Alice smiled as she looked in the mirror. She sees Reece stood behind her, and she turned around. Kissing they fell back onto the bed, and that was the end of the first night.
