When It Was All Normal

Chapter 1

I just turned 21, graduated from micro biology, had a boyfriend working part time for ups, hanging out with friends, and just enjoying life. Just being a 21 year old. Just a normal girl living in Coco Indiana was about to change. My mom came in on the morning of June 25th and woke me up told me I need to be up doing stuff and honestly I just wanted to sleep in since I just graduated college. At that time she went to work and I went back to sleep for a few hours. On June 25th 1998 Anita slept until about 10 AM and then got up and went to the kitchen. She had plans to go to lunch with her boyfriend and grandparents in a couple hours. The telephone rings and there's a knock on the door. So I answered the phone and ran over answered the door and Victor Steels is at the door. About a year before Anita worked at the gym Steel owned. She thought he was a little creepy but mostly harmless. He didn't shower regularly and Anita had to hold her breath when she talked to him about his science fiction writings. He was kind of a loner and kept to himself. He treated all women like they were interested in him or he wanted a friend or girlfriend. The gym closed the May of 1997 and I started a job at another place so I had not see Victor Steels in over a year. I just woke up and didn't hit me on "why is he here" but he asked for a glass of water I knew he rode his bike. It was really hot out that day and it never really dawned out to me like "hey why is he at my house asking for a glass of water". I went to get him a glass of water and I stepped on a tac on my way to the door. I bent over to clean up the blood from my toe. Then I felt this shock in my back, I felt this feeling of an electric cord touching my back and I started screaming. My mind just went in like panic mode. He hit me again and I just felt this electrical current and i'm still fighting and he reaches over me and I could see it was a stun gun and I lost control of my legs and just fell to the ground.
