Chapter 5

Songs and books- the things that make me cry The only things I forgive for making me cry I don't forgive them yet I still go back And each time, they'll tear your heart out, stomp on it and then shove it back in And yet you always go back You can't escape Sometimes you ask yourself if you really want to And whether you want to or not, you always don’t You tell yourself that you like it, that this must be the beauty of it And sometimes you wonder what would happen if you were to just throw it into the fire. There are times where you almost will. Where you just almost throw it away because it becomes too much But then you realise that you can't do it and you don't know why Why? The question that keeps going through your head as you extinguish the flames before they do damage. You realise there is no answer. You're just... addicted You can try to stop it but it's just too hard. It consumes you. It takes up hours, days, weeks of your time and you no longer care You've given up. Nothing else matters except that. The world keeps spinning, but it seems to stop when you're busy with it
