Chapter Two — Sounds of the Night & Day
Chapter 2
After finishing up your homework, you say goodnight to your friends and lay down on your bed, trying to let sleep take you. No sleep, or grogginess came. Getting that letter out of your mind was are impossible task to manage. You lay in bed twisting and turning, with no success, and the weather certainly wasn't helping. Giving up, you just lay there, mind swarming with questions, about what the rest of the mysterious letter had contained. Millions of scenes and possibilities filled your mind with thoughts, each sounding very unlikely. Suddenly, a soft howl came from the distance. Not knowing what possessed you to jump up and go to your window, your ears hear more howls in the distance. Feeling the strangest urge to howl back, you scare yourself, and try ignoring all these strange phenomenons. After many minutes of just sitting there watching the bright, full moon, you gave into sleep, and dreams filled with nightmares. "Y/N WAKE UP!" No response. "CHILD WAKE UP!" Y/B/F/N shrieked into your ear. You just groaned and buried your head into your pillow. "Just one more minute...". "Absolutely not. Hurry up, we're going to be late!" You jerked up and glanced at your digital clock which read: 8:45 am, and breakfast at the Great Hall starts at 8:50 am. You immediately panicked and jumped out of bed scrambling for your robes. After changing, you hurry down to meet Y/B/F/N down the stairs. "What the heck took you so long?" She/He asked you incredolusly as you pant, out of breath. ''Who cares, lets just hurry up." You mutter. She/He just rolled her/his eyes. The two of you sprint all the way, and take a seat. Meanwhile, your head starts to ache, but you just let it be. Then, you her the familiar howl of the wolves in the distance, and you ask Y/B/F/N, "Do you hear those wolves howling?" She/He blinked and looked your direction. "Um, no. Why?" "Nevermind." Heading to your first class, Charms, you hear that howl again. You soon discover your head throbs uncontrollably when you fight the urge to howl back. You think, "What is wrong with me?" "Y/F/L/N! Please pay attention!" Professor Flitwick reminded you. "Sorry, Professor." Class ended, and you stood back to ask your Charm's Professor some questions about your headache's and the howls you hear. "I'm afraid, I do not know what is happening, I'll contact Professor Dumbledore and let you know what he says. For the meantime, please try and ignore these things." You nod and head to your next class.
