Lesson Two Study Guide

Chapter 3

A deck has seventy-eight cards, which are divided into the Major & Minor Arcana. The tarot deck was created in the 1400s, mostly in Italy. During the Great Clustering, magical people broke off with Muggles due to the fear of being found out as magical folk. In France, Melina Renard started introducing tarot readings from 1783 to 1792. Tarot cards help to channel your divinatory magic.

Do's:

⊱ Determine questions that you don't want to answer (death, traumatic circumstances), trust your intuition when doing a reading

⊱ Respect your tarot deck, don't boast or use for tricks, have faith & trust, don't bend the cards or damage them

⊱ Encourage seers when prompted or when you think necessary, respect all levels of seers

Do Not's:

⊱ Don't do readings in a rush or only half-way, don't do readings unless you have consent

⊱ Don't pressure others to have a reading done, around those who are uncomfortable about it, or on non-believers

⊱ Don't disclose personal information such as names or reading results, do not use a public place, don't judge on sex, religion, nationality, etc.

Fun Facts

⊱ The cards can draw & maintain magic, but not nearly as much as wands can.

⊱ The cards show a form of personailty, such as calling to you.

⊱ A tarot deck can lessen its response when your intentions are unusual, or be disloyal to you when another uses the deck.

⊱ To be specific, the tarot deck was created in Milan, Ferrara, & Bologna, Italy.
