The first broomstick was created in Germany in 962 CE, had only one speed type, & did not turn. In 1880, the Broom Regulatory Control was established to create flying laws. When a company wishes to sell broomsticks, they have to earn a permit from the Department of Magical Transportation. Bluebottle, Golden Horizon, & Universal Brooms Limited are no longer in the Broomstick business.
