In 1050 BCE, the Phoenician Alphabet was created. The Greek, Latin, & English alphabets used symbols. In Latin, V was a vowel & a speech sound. Incantations usually have one or two words. If you pronounce the incantation wrong, it will alter the spell & your magic. It may bang, backfire, or cause explosion.

Wand Movement: Curved flick up & down

The Locomotion Charm

Loco translates to place or location, whereas motor translates to move in Latin. Together, it translates to move to a place.
The Phoenician Alphabet did not have vowels so the person reading would have had to plug in the vowels mentally.
