The History of Magic

One thousand years ago, certain religions started to blame magic as evil. Muggles began to see magical folks as someone to fear. To protect all magical wizards & witches, the Wizard's Council made the decision to separate magical folk from Muggle folk. In 1707, the British Ministry of Magic was created. The International Statute of Secrecy was created in 1689, & in this statute was the degree to keep magic hidden from Muggles. In 1875, the Decree for Underage Sorcery & the Trace was created for all those under the age of seventeen, where if any underage practiced or uses magic outside of areas such as schools, the government will know the general area of where the magic took place & can send you a letter informing you of expulsion of a Wizarding School if caught.

Backfired Spells

Spells that backfire can be unpredictable & in some cases, dangerous. If you do not use the spell casting components correctly, any spell can backfire. To avoid backfired spells, clear your mind, avoid distractions, find a safe area to cast, follow instructions carefully, practice, & learn from your mistakes.
