Encyclopedia of Brooms
By Sayan Sanyal
This book is dedicated to Keith Silvester. It deals with the detailed discussion of Magical Brooms. This book is a mirror of my continuous research work on broom studies. Although many informations are untrackable in the lost pages of old books and manuscripts, this book will try to shed some light of knowledge with the help of my research work. As a matter of fact, further research will add many more chapters I presume. If you are daring and into flying, this is for you. If you are just curious about broom history and current broom ratings and all, these are discussed here too.

Nimbus 2001
Chapter 46
The Nimbus 2001 is a broom produced by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company as part of their successful line of racing brooms. The top of the Nimbus Racing Broom Company's range. Capable of previously unseen speed and control. A world-class broom. Released in August, 1992, it was faster than its predecessor, the Nimbus 2000. It officially became the fastest broom in existence, until the launch of the Firebolt in 1993. The broom itself is black and silver with revolving stirrups. Despite the Firebolt being faster, the Nimbus 2001 is still used by the majority of Quidditch teams across the globe. Speed:9/10 Control:9/10 Durability:8/10
