Chapter 139
You select the choice that says “Lily Plants”. The magical barrier disappears and you see different sorts of Liles.
You remember reading Lilies are mostly recognized for their flowers, but that not all species of lilies can produce flowers. Looking at your display confirms that lily flowers and leaves come in several colours and shapes. You recall that the stems tend to be thick and sturdy and that they can grow from a foot to ten feet tall. Your books also mentioned that the bulb should be planted ¼ inch into the ground in nutrient rich soil, have 5-6 hours of full sunlight, plenty or regular water and that magic could be used to stimulate growth. They also said that you should allow lily leave to die without interfering.
From your research, you know that lily flowers can help regulate the heart rate, be used as treatment for burns and to prevent formation of scar tissue. The root can be made into an ointment to apply on burns. The flower and roots both can be used to treat spider bites. Furthermore you remember that in the form of tea, lilies can treat coughs and fevers, stomach disorders, wounds, sores and be used to wash swollen bruised areas. Finally, both muggles and wizards use the lily to treat depression.
After taking another minute looking at all your beautiful lilies, you go to the next and last magical barrier and read the riddle:
“A muggle plant available in different colours, I have 40 medicinal uses discovered so far.”
If you answer “Orchids”, go to Chapter 147.
If you answer “English Rose”, go to Chapter 146.
