6. Applying Your Will

A matter of will
Like concentration some spells do not need willpower. If you attempt to use much magic you’ll get a headache along other symptoms (DADA lesson 3) concentration —> focus on the desired effect. Willpower —> mental power needed to conjure the spell.
The Sticking Charm
Incantation: Astrictus (a-STRIK-toose)
Wand Movement: The infinity symbol starting and ending in the center, encircling the two objects. (∞ )
Willpower: High; determines how long the objects will remain stuck and how hard they are to separate
Concentration: Medium; on the two parts that should be stuck together
This charm was first used around 100 B.C.E. You could stick two objects to another, although it’s not permanent. It can be countered by the unlocking charm.
