Most people use wands, although very skilled people can do wandless magic. Wand are considered to be semi-sentient, this does not mean it’s a living being, it needs an owner to work.
Ash wand are good for defensive charms, but you should not pass them on. Phoenix tail feathers make for a versatile wand but they could act on the own
The four parameters that define a wand:
- length, wands are usually within 9 to 14 inches.
- Flexibility, such as pliant, spongy, springy, supple, whippy, willowy, yielding wand are flexible. Rigid wands can be firm, inflexible, resistant, stiff, unbending, unpliable and unyielding.
- Wood, multiple woods in one wand could crate tention, so only one type gets used per wand.
