-Posting-

The first step to most of the socialisation on Hogwarts is Here is by posting; whether it’s your opinions on a recent pop culture event, a funny anecdote on your activities in real life or a roleplay piece, people will enjoy getting to know you through it. Also, by posting regularly, you signify that you’re still around and will start acquiring some people who will regularly comment on your posts and you could approach as friends.

Another great thing when posting is to ask questions or opinions of people – don’t just share your own and make sure you post something that invites people to comment; i.e. ‘’what are people’s opinions on Leonardo De Caprio final winning an Oscar?” or “What length should I cut my hair?” – posts like that can really help you get people commenting and are good to start with.

Pretty soon, if you’re posting often, you’ll start to get people who seem to comment on most of your posts and maybe have even chatted with on the topic of your post or another subject. This is when you can start talking to them separately by posts or other means of contact.

Another great way to make friends is by commenting on other people’s posts. Obviously people enjoy it when others comment on their posts and will usually answer your comments, leading to conversations and discussions or simply a bit of banter.

Even if you don’t make friends with your posts, it still gives you a chance to get to know other students better and talk about amusing and interesting subjects. You often find that a student’s friends start commenting on your posts and getting to know you as well, so it is another way to get to know social circles and more people.

Also, make sure to add people so they can see your posts and you can see theirs. Do this by looking in your common room or via other means such as Professor’s feed.

Summary of Tips:

-Post regularly (one or twice every week is good, maybe more, up to you)

- Always post on the main feed (where all your friends can see)

-Post topics that people are likely to comment on

-Help people get to know you through posts

-Reply to comments and start conversations this way

-Comment on other people’s posts in a friendly manner.

-Befriend as many people as possible so many see your posts and you see theirs.
