Chapter 3

In First Year, there are seven mandatory courses you must take to graduate to second year. These are: Astronomy Charms Defense Against the Dark Arts Herbology History of Magic Potions Transfiguration You can take as many as you want at one time, and you can spend as little or as much time on each course and lesson. I just loved it. On one day I take a note, and the other I do the attached assignment, however you can complete each week as quickly or slowly as you want. Sometimes courses will give Extra Credit assignments in the form of essays. These are completely optional and do not count towards your final grade. However they do serve as extra practice and a creative outlet. There are no mandatory essays in First Year. I would highly recommend completing these essays.
