Backstory

I come from a muggleborn family who has no believe in any sort of religion, let alone 'magic'. I was born and raised in Canada, but then we moved to London when I was ten. It was a huge change, and my bizarre Canadian accent is especially noticeable around other students my age. On one fateful day when I was 11, an owl dropped off my acceptance letter at our small farm that my father had purchased. Now my family consists of atheists, and considering how they don't even believe in conventional religious ideals they definitely did not believe in my hogwarts letter. But, I'm a complete Dad's daughter and after begging and pleading with him he finally took me into town, where we discovered Diagon Alley. It was definitely not something you could google map, but when we found it my dad started to believe in magic. We went to Gringott's and got our muggle money changed to galleons and went shopping for my Hogwarts school supplies. My dad still seems kind of in a daze about all of it, but hey at least he still loves and supports me wholeheartedly. Now I'm a first year in Hufflepuff and I am so ready to be a part of this whole new world that I had no idea about.
