Eleanor Henstridge

Backstory

Hello, my name is Eleanor Victoria Henstridge. I am a Third-Year Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizardry. I am a pure blood wizard, daughter of Robert Henstridge and Kathryn Ellis; I have an older brother named Aidan, who graduated Hogwarts last term. I am 5’4, of a thin but athletic build, pale skin, grey eyes and long dark brown hair. I am very much an independent personality, competitive, hard-working, and creative. I mix it up by also being mischievous, slightly manipulative, and optimistic. Will never pass up assisting in the creation of mayhem.

While it was expected that I would attend a School of Magic, at the time of receiving my acceptance letters, my parents were forced to figure out where to send me. While my father and brother both attended Hogwarts, my mother was a Beauxbatons alumni, and dearly wished my education to be fulfilled there as well. When pressed with a choice, I instinctually chose Hogwarts.

The past two years of Hogwarts have been filled with great friends, inspiring professors, and all sorts of interesting and entertaining adventures. With me is my pet owl Ghost, a grey little thing who enjoys dropping by the Great Hall in search of breakfast although I am not getting mail every day.

My wand is a Dragon Heartstring, with a body of pine and a handle of ebony, 11 ½ inches and unyielding. Like everyone in my family, I purchased the wand at Ollivanders. My favorite subjects are Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts, although Ancient Runes, Ancient Studies and History of Magic are not far behind. Academics (much like mayhem) is another of my passions, as I enroll in any and every class there may be available. I have recently been able to cast my patronus which takes the form of an Orca.

My dream is to become an Auror, and to protect the Wizarding World. Like my brother now, like my father before us, and my grandfather before him; Auror’s is not just my dream, but a family job.
